Women's Tennis Plays Host To Barry

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–The University of Miami women’s tennis team will play host to Barry University Friday at 3 p.m. at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

No. 41 Miami (1-0) won its season opener Saturday afternoon after defeating Florida Atlantic, 5-2. Barry (0-0) will open its 2001 season at UM.

Seniors Alanna Broderick (St. Andrews, Jamaica) and Katia Bogomolova (Moscow, Russia) paced the Hurricanes in the 5-2 win over Florida Atlantic with wins in singles and doubles play.

The Hurricanes lead the all-time series 6-0 versus Barry.
