Hurricanes Football Ratings Sweet

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – – The University of Miami’s appearance in the Nokia Sugar Bowl, a 37-20 victory over Florida on Jan. 2, reaffirmed the Hurricanes’ standing as one of college football’s premier television attractions.

USA TODAY’s Rudy Martzke reported that ratings for major bowl games have been stable, and that the Sugar Bowl on ABC, featuring Miami, drew a 12.8/20 preliminary overnight Nielsen rating, up 45 percent from the comparable Nebraska-Tennessee Fiesta Bowl last year.
