Gaulrapp Takes Sixth At Gator Invitational

Gainesville, FL – University of Miami senior Shannon Sarabyn won for the fourth consecutive time this season to lead the Miami women’s cross country team to a third-place finish at the Gator Cross Country Invitational in Gainesville, FL.
Sarabyn, who has eight career titles to her credit, becomes the first runner in UM history to win four consecutive individual titles. She completed the 6,000-meter course in a time of 21:43.32. Florida’s Hillary White took second (22:07.36).
Miami placed five runners in the top-32 in finishing third in the nine-team event with 107 points. Host Florida won the team title (24 points) followed by Florida Southern (65 points).
On the men’s side, junior Jeff Gaulrapp finished sixth with a time of 25:47.10 to lead the UM men’s cross country team to a fourth-place finish (116 points) in the 15 team men’s competition. Florida (25 points) won the team title.
Dan Boniface, a transfer from Washington State, also ran well for Miami completing the 8,000-meter course with a time of 26:03.52. Boniface finished eighth.
