Sarabyn And Gaulrapp Win Again

Jacksonville, FL – University of Miami cross country runners Shannon Sarabyn (Centreville, VA) and Jeff Gaulrapp (Baldwinsville, NY) both recorded first-place finishes at the Jacksonville Track Club Invitational held at District II Regional Park in Jacksonville, FL.
The UM women finished third out of eight schools while the Hurricane men finished second out of nine teams.
The individual victories for Sarabyn and Gaulrapp marks the third consecutive meet in which both won their respective races. Sarabyn and Gaulrapp both recorded victories at the UCF Invitational on September 8 as well as the FIU Invitational on September 15.
For Sarabyn, who completed the 5,000-meter course in a time of 18:27, the win marked her seventh career individual title. Jennifer Geroux (Balto, MD) also ran well finishing fourth.
Gaulrapp, a junior, completed the 8,000-meter course in a time of 26:40 defeating teammate Dan Boniface (Seattle, WA) by 10 seconds. Boniface, a transfer from Washington State, finishes second to Gaulrapp for the second consecutive week.
