Hurricanes Travel to Reebok Invitational

ATLANTA, GA – The University of Miami men’s and women’s track team head to Atlanta, GA to compete in the Reebok Invitational on May 20.

The Miami men will be led by Santana Moss (long and triple jump), Aaron Moser (decathlon) Daryl Jones (100-meter dash), and All-American Calredquis Lesley (110-meter hurdles).

Moss, was named the 2000 BIG EAST Most Outstanding Field Performer after winning the long jump and triple jump titles at 2000 BIG EAST Outdoor Championships. Moser recorded a UM and BIG EAST record score of 7,358 in winning his third consecutive decathlon title at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships. While, Jones won the 100-meter dash at the BIG EAST Championships for the second consecutive year and Lesley finished second in the 110-meter hurdles.

The Miami women will be led by Wyllesheia Myrick, All-American Natalie Watson, Patricia Pearson, and Antonnikka Owens.

Myrick, was named the 2000 BIG EAST Most Outstanding Track Athlete, while winning the 100- and 200-meter titles in leading the Hurricanes to a second-place finish at the 2000 BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Watson and Pearson finished second and third in the 800-meter in the 2000 BIG EAST Championships, while Owens was solid taking third in the long jump.

Other Hurricanes scheduled to compete are Gus Martin, Jabari Ennis, Kareen Clarke, Jenise Winston, Danika Dodds, Gina Harris, Adrienne Moss, and Saraque Whittaker.
