Men's Tennis To Face Notre Dame In BIG EAST Title Match

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The top-seeded University of Miami men’s tennisteam defeated No. 4 West Virginia, 4-0, Saturday to advance to its eighthconsecutive BIG EAST Championship final.
The Hurricanes’, who have won five BIG EAST titles since joining theleague in 1991, will face Notre Dame for the 2000 BIG EAST Championshipstarting Sunday at noon at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center in Coral Gables.Admission is free.
Notre Dame, the defending BIG EAST Champion and No. 2 seed, defeatedthird-seeded St. John’s, 4-0, to advance to Sunday’s final.
The Hurricanes and Fighting Irish have played for the BIG EAST titlein each of the last four seasons with each team winning twice.
