Women's Tennis Advances With 5-1 Victory Over Syracuse

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The second-seeded University of Miami women’stennis team advanced to its ninth straight conference final with a 5-1 winover No. 3 Syracuse in the semifinal round of the 2000 BIG EAST Women’sTennis Championships.
The Hurricanes’, who have won five BIG EAST titles since joining theleague in 1991, will face Notre Dame for the BIG EAST Championship for thefifth straight season on Sunday beginning at 9 a.m. at the Neil SchiffTennis Center in Coral Gables. Admission is free.
Notre Dame, the defending BIG EAST Champion and No. 1 seed, defeatedfifth-seeded Seton Hall, 5-0, to advance to Sunday’s final.
