FIVE WOMEN HEAD TO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

CORAL GABLES, FL – Five University of Miami women are traveling to the 2000 Swimming and Diving NCAA Championships in Indianapolis, IN on Mar. 16-18.

The Hurricanes are led by junior All-American and 2000 Big East Diver of the Year Jenny Keim (Ft. Lauderdale, FL). Keim won the 3-meter diving event at the 1999 NCAA Championships, while finishing second in the 10-meter and third in the 1-meter to claim 1999 NCAA Diver of the Year honors.

Joining Keim at the championships are junior Big East 200-yard individual medley record holder Jen Weir (Cooper City, FL), sophomore Emily Spychala (Odessa, FL), freshman Elaine Schwartz (Mt. Laurel, NJ), and freshman diver Katie Beth Bryant (Chatham, IL).

Last year, the Hurricane women finished 17th at the 1999 NCAA Championships.
