Women's Tennis Fall to Duke

CORAL GABLES, FL – The 31st-ranked University of Miami women’s tennis team (4-3) dropped a heartbreaker, 4-5, to No. 9 Duke (6-3) Sunday at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center on the Coral Gable campus.

UM received singles victories from senior captain Meredith Laughlin (Miami, FL), sophomore Marcy Hora (Delray Beach, FL), and freshman Lauren Scaglione (Seminole, FL). The doubles teams of Hora/deVilliers recorded the Hurricanes only victory in doubles.

The Hurricanes return to action on Sunday, March 5 against Florida State in Tallahassee, FL. The match is set for 1 p.m.
