Women’s Tennis Travels to Clemson

No. 27 Miami Looks to Rebound

The University of Miami women’s tennis team (3-1) travels to Clemson (1-1) on Friday, February 18 for a noon match.

Most recently, the Hurricanes suffered their first loss of the season to No. 20 South Alabama, 5-4.

Against South Alabama, UM received singles victories from senior captain Meredith Laughlin (Miami, FL) and junior Alanna Broderick (St. Andrew, Jamacia). The doubles teams of Marcy Hora (Delray Beach, FL/ freshman Igne deVillers (Capetown, South Africa) defeated the top-ranked doubles team of Martina Ondreijkova and Iva Puflerova, 8-6. The duo of Laughlin and freshman Lauren Scaglione (Seminole, FL) also recorded a victory.
