Women's Tennis Stumbles vs. South Alabama

CORAL GABLES, FL – The No. 27-ranked University of Miami women’s tennis team (3-1) suffered its first loss of the season to No. 20 South Alabama at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center on the UM campus.
UM received singles victories from junior Alanna Broderick (St. Andrew, Jamacia) and senior captain Meredith Laughlin (Miami. FL). The doubles teams of Marcy Hora (Delray Beach, FL)/Igne deVilliers (Capetown, South Africa) and Lauren Scaglione (Seminole, FL)/Laughlin recorded victories.
The Hurricanes return to action on Friday, February 18 when they travel to Clemson for a noon match.
