Men's Tennis Defeat FAU

CORAL GABLES, FL – The University of Miami men’s tennis team (1-0) opened their spring season with a victory over intra-state rival Florida Atlantic (1-1). Miami won four of the six singles matches and swept all three doubles matches en route to it’s 5-2 victory.
UM received singles victories from Tomas Smid (Prague, Czech Republic), Johan Lindqvist (Kil, Sweden), Michael Lang (Sarasota, FL), and Arpad Odry (Miami, FL). The doubles teams of Hoffman/Smid, Lieberman/Lindqvist and Mark Arrowsmith (Orange Park, CA)/Joel Berman (Seminole, FL) all recorded victories.
The Hurricanes return to action on Friday, February 4 at 1 p.m. when they host Tulane at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center on the Coral Gables campus.
