Hurricanes Are Record-Setting

NORMAN, OK. – Freshmen Adrienne Moss (Miami, FL) and Patricia Pearson (Jacksonville, FL) both set school-records, while sophomore Natalie Watson (Clarendon, Jamacia) ran away with a meet-record at the Oklahoma Track Classic.
Moss took second-place in the shot-put with her new school-record toss of 14.42m (47’0″3/4 ft.). Pearson scored a fourth-place finish with her school-record time of 1:23.35 in the 600-yard dash, while Watson took first and set a meet-record time of 2:58.79 in the 1000-meter.
Sophomore Kareen Clarke (Lithonic, GA) recorded a first-place finish in the triple jump for the Hurricanes with a jump of 12.60m (41’4″ ft.), while junior Wylleshia Myrick brought home a third-place finish in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.56.
The Hurricanes next spring into action February 6 at the University of Florida.
