Hurricanes Ink 6-10 Men's Basketball Recruit

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Head men’s basketball coach Leonard Hamiltonannounces the signing of Reo Logan (Country Club Hills, IL) to a nationalletter of intent to attend the University of Miami next fall.
Logan, a 6-10, 205 pound forward/center, averaged 17 points, eightrebounds and two blocks per game in leading Hillcrest High School to a 26-6record and a trip to Final Eight of the Illinois state tournament lastseason.
“Logan has tremendous skills for a player his size,” commentedHamilton. “He handles the ball well and is a good passer which will give himthe opportunity to help us in a number of different ways. His variety ofskills helps make those around him better.”
“I felt very comfortable at Miami,” said Logan. “It is strongacademically, it is an up-and-coming program, and there is a real familyatmosphere among the players and coaches.”
Logan, who is rated as one of the nation’s top 100 recruits byrecruiting guru Bob Gibbons, was a second-team All-State selection by theIllinois Basketball Coaches Association last season as well as earningAll-Area and All-Conference honors for the second consecutive season.
“Reo (Logan) is a really fluid player,” said Hillcrest head coachTom Cappeo. “He runs the floor extremely well, handles the ball well and isequally comfortable playing center or power forward.”
