Chat With Richard Mercier!
On Wednesday, Miami senior Richard Mercier will stop by to chat.
The 6-foot-3, 290-pound offensive lineman from Montreal, Quebec, entered the season as the No. 1 offensive guard in the nation, as named by The Sporting News, and No. 12 overall by College Football News. Mercier also was a preseason first-team All-American by five publications, and also is seeking his second All-Big East first-team honor.
Mercier, who was also named to the Sports Illustrated All-Bowl team last season, helped pave the way for teammate James Jackson’s 134 yards in the Hurricane’s come-from-behind victory over Boston College two weeks ago. Mercier, played every down in 1998, is on pace to tie the Hurricane’s all-time record for games started. Miami, off to a 4-3 this season, are 31-11 all-time with Mercier in its lineup. Miami travels to Pittsburgh on Saturday.
Mercier won’t be stopping by until 8 p.m. ET Wednesday, but feel free to leave him a question here.
