CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami and HealthSouth Doctors’Hospital will host “Tumba La Casa” as part of Hispanic Heritage Day at theMiami-Temple football game on Saturday, October 16 at the Orange Bowl.Highlighting the festivities will be a concert by salsa sensation OscarD’Leon following the football game which kicks off at 4:00 p.m.

Hispanic Heritage Day, presented by HealthSouth Doctors’ Hospital,will commemorate the Hispanic culture in the South Florida community. Thecelebration will begin at 2:00 p.m. with games and ethnic food in TouchdownAlley located in the east end zone of the Orange Bowl. There will be aHispanic themed halftime show as well as special music and promotionsthroughout the game. “Tumba La Casa” will culminate with a concert withD’Leon and his band La Salsa Mayor following the football game.

D’Leon is a genuine music legend who possibly is the most recognizedVenezuelan artist. He has recorded with the most distinguished stars ofLatin Music such as Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Jose Alberto “El Canario,”Arturo Sandoval, Luis Enriquez, Los Billos Caracas Boys and Dynago. He alsomade a stellar guest appearance on the album, “The Mambo King” the 100thalbum by Tito Puente. As the global messenger of tropical and salsa music,this “sonero” has performed at Madison Square Garden, Carnegie Hall, LincolnCenter, Miami Arena and throughout Europe and Asia.
