MORGANTOWN,WV (U-WIRE) — Big East fans have a healthy college football season ahead of them and can catch a good deal of it on their television. Because of its agreement with CBS and ESPN, the Big East will once again be one of the most televised conferences in the country.

CBS has seven games currently lined up to air starting with a Big East “doubleheader” on September 18. Miami will host Penn State at 3:30 p.m. before Syracuse welcomes Michigan at 8:00 p.m.

Several other big games are to be broadcast — even West Virginia’s own Mountaineers when they travel to Miami to face the Hurricanes on October 30. CBS will also be back in Miami when Syracuse comes calling on November 27.

West Virginia will be the first Big East team to play on ESPN2 when they face East Carolina at Ericsson Stadium in Charlotte on September 4 at 3:00 p.m. Nine games are scheduled to air on either ESPN or ESPN2, with more games to be added later.

Games will also be shown on ABC and NBC along with the Fox Sports Network, putting the league on every national television outlet.

ABC will carry the Miami vs. Ohio State Kickoff Classic at Giants Stadium on August 29 at 2:30 p.m. ABC will also run coverage of the Hurricanes when they play Florida State at home on October 9 at noon.

The Big East will be televised throughout the season on ESPN Regional Television. The ESPN Regional Game of the Week package is one the largest in the nation reaching 33 million homes.

West Virginia will lead off the Game of the Week series on September 11 when Miami of Ohio comes to town to face the Mountaineers.

With all this coverage, Big East fans shouldn’t miss a pass, catch or tackle all season long.
