Barrett-Hamilton Leads Canes to Sixth at Ryder Championship

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. – FloridaState (926) fired a final round 310 toovercome an eight-stroke deficit Sunday afternoon and defeat CentralFlorida(929) to win the RYDER Florida Women’s Collegiate Golf Championshipsat DonShula’s Golf Club in Miami Lakes, FL.

Florida State, which recordedits first RYDER Championship since1992, had all four golfers finish in the top-20 en route to the title.

Central Florida’s Line Berg(222) shot a final round 79 to win theindividual title by four stokes. Marie Pia Castro of Florida Atlanticfireda 72 on Sunday to finish in sole possession of second-place (226).

Miami, which has hostedthe event for the 15th consecutive year,finished sixth after a final round 313. The Hurricanes were led bysophomoreAshleigh Barrett-Hamilton who recorded a third round 73 to finish in11th-place.
