Daniel Vallverdu named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Senior men’s tennis player Daniel Vallverdu has been named the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, May 31. Vallverdu became the first player in UM men’s tennis history to end his career as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) five-time all-american when we was awarded that honor this year by finishing ranked 16th in the nation. The top 20 players are given all-american recognition. The native of Valencia, Venezuela had previously been awarded all-american status in singles twice and was given the award in doubles twice as well. In being recognized as an all-american five times, Vallverdu surpasses Johan Donar (1987-89) and Luigi D’Agord (2006-07) who were each honored four times. |
